Congratulations
Well, the votes were tallied, and we stayed up all night going over all the entries, and we're pleased to announce Kelly and Dominic of Chicago, Illinois, the winners of the Luscious Verde/OneWed $5,000 Wedding Smorgasbord. They charmed us with their brief and witty responses, and we look forward to working with them to create the wedding invitations of their dreams. And now, a short interview with Kelly, the lucky winner:
How did he propose?
It was on New Year's Eve. We went to a friend's party, danced like crazy, and left at 1:30. When we got home, he popped the question. I was completely taken aback, because he's really bad at keeping secrets.
How did you find out about the contest?
We went to look at All She Wrote, and I had already written down the styles of what I liked. When I got home, I checked out OneWed, and was surprised to see the contest on there!
And now, the sentence that tipped us over the edge to choosing Kelly and Dominic:
What food truly reflects you and your fiance and why?
The BLT. When Dominic was little, he would order a BLT, take off the lettuce and tomato, and just eat a bacon sandwich. Little did he know that, 2500 miles away, I was eating tomato and lettuce sandwiches.
