It's the Holiday Yeti, Charlie Brown
So, the holiday season is upon us. For many of us here at Luscious
Verde, that means a few things: our poor brains are frazzled from too
much fruitcake, widespread profanity can be heard in the parking lot
after an ice storm, and we're having our annual holiday mega-party. And
during this party every year, we have a "Secret Yeti" gift exchange
wherein we look deep into our hearts and get a co-worker the utmost of
joy and happiness that $15 can allow.
So we were thinking, if
price or feasibility was no object, what would be your ideal "Secret
Yeti" present? Herein are the results of an informal poll of some of
the employees of Luscious Verde. Witness the things in life we actually
care about:
Liz, operations manager: an Irish accent coach
Lindsay, assistant operations manager: a chauffeur
Beth, graphic designer: a trip to Mexico for a second honeymoon
Elizabeth, graphic designer: a house on the Outer Banks
Kevin, proofreader: the Secret Yeti himself
Jim, proofreader: a house somewhere in northeast Ohio, he doesn't really care where
Megan, estimating gal: a South American vacation that would avoid the drug cartel areas
Rebecca, print artist: a brick of hundred-dollar bills
Lena, print artist: a house in the country, ideally not in Ohio
Joe, plant manager: an Aston-Martin DB9
Brian, print artist: a hybrid car
Mayra, production artist: an eight-foot flat-screen TV
Sasha, production artist: a fully-loaded Audi S6
Channa, production artist: cupboard doors or a trip to Israel
Rachel, production artist: a life-size Lego replica of herself OR replacing the floors in her apartment with trampolines
Meg, production artist: free Melt for life
Laura, production artist: a life-size gingerbread house
Alex, packing and warehouse supervisor: a time machine
Chris, co-owner of Luscious Verde: a private Jason Mraz concert
Wendy, co-owner of Luscious Verde: a handmade hat
and, lastly, the only serious one:
Tony, print artist: wants his brother to come home from Iraq
Well, Tony, we hope that'll be happening soon. To everyone out there, have a great (and peaceful) holiday season.
